Gloria Steinem

September 2008

On September 4, 2008, Steinem wrote in the Los Angeles Times: “McCain could have chosen a woman who knows what a vice president does and who has thought about Iraq; someone like Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison…” But in 1993, Steinem impugned Hutchison, calling her a “female impersonator.” Of course, when you throw as many bombs as Steinem, you’re bound to forget a few of the casualties.
